StoneRing, Long Wong's, St. Patrick's Day parade

The sky is so blue. Unfortunately the outside temperature made the fingers of the parade goers just about as blue.

Our first gig of the St. Patrick's season is also one of the most fun. It's the post-parade party at Long Wong's Sports Bar in Milwaukee. It's a truly American melting pot kind of experience.

We would love to play on one of those Irish music cruise ships but the inside of Long Wong's is almost as good and the food is much better.

StoneRing, Paul Wong, St. Patrick's Day parade

I'm sure the rest of the band wishes they had co-ordinated shirts with me & Paul Wong.

This is one of those cross-cultural moments that we love.

And this is another. Corned beef and cabbage egg rolls are surprisingly tasty.

I'm not sure what this girl is doing with the sword but whatever it is, the bagpipe band guy is honouring her for it.

StoneRing, Bill Rients, bagpipers

One of these things is not like the others. Two bagpipers from Monroe & a bagpiper wannabe, also from Monroe.

Oh yes, these people know how to party.
Thanks to Peter Watts for taking some pictures that actually have the band in them and thanks to our friend Pat Roe for sitting in with us.

Mad Celt Fest, St. Patrick's Day parade

One parade is hardly enough so this motley crew was hard at it the following weekend in Madison.

StoneRing, Charlie Johnson, St. Patrick's Day parade

But does Charlie play everything and WIN, I'l like to know.
