StoneRing, Stoughton Opera House

Our first concert of the season was in a great theatre in Stoughton.

I usually only see this building at the end of the Syttende Mai walk in May. It is much more relaxing viewing it now when I haven't just finished walking 17 miles.

We don't know who the chairs are for but they must be important. Perhaps Abraham Lincoln and his wife.

They did a beautiful job on restoring this theatre.

StoneRing, Zona Gale Theatre, Portage Art Center

The next weekend is the Zona Gale Theatre in Portage, another great venue.

Ann Conway, the Arts Cente director, and the sound man at the theatre made our evening there great.

WThe Johnson girls are fairly unruffled about the fact that they will soon be on stage.

And at this concert we had dancers too. It is very humbling to get on a stage following a flock of really cute dancing costumed kids.

StoneRing, Al Ringling Theatre

Our last concert of the season is the Al Ringling Theatre in Baraboo.

This is a really cool theatre and the dressing rooms below the stage are even cooler in a Phantom of the Opera sort of way.
Once again, thanks to Peter Watts for taking pictures and recording us in concert.

What a great idea - breed replacement singers for when we get worn out. Abby and Alice Johnson were just amazing.

A great moment with all three Johnson women. Well - Bill's in there too but we'll try to overlook that.

The family that sings together Highland flings together? The family that croons together tunes together? I'm still working on it.
