Charlie is a monolith of musical majesty. Not only is
he skilled on the guitar, banjo and concertina but he also has a beautifully subtle voice that can capture the fervor of the
Irish rebellion or just as easily capture the quiet beauty of the
Scottish Highlands.
Charlie has a deep appreciation and love for all music and is
a steadfast supporter of the arts throughout the area.
Linda was given her first recorder by her father when she was
eight. With several major breaks, she has been playing ever
since. She has played with Music's Merrie Companions at the
Bristol Renaissance Fair and the First Brigade Band, a Civil
War reenactment performing group. She has also danced with
Oak Apple Morris dancers in Madison, WI and Malt Mill
Morris dancers in London, Ontario. As well as being a part of
The Stone Ring, Linda does lecture demonstrations about
historical woodwind instruments for schools and libraries in
Southern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois.
Beth has a voice that can make birds envious and cause even the crustiest
old man to cry. Beth holds up the left flank of the band with the almighty
celtic harp, which she plays with grace and fortitude. And the all important
djembe. The drum keeps up the thunderous under current of The Stone
Ring's extensive repertoire.
Bill brings an explosive power to The Stone Ring in the form
of vibrant energy. Not only is it visible on the stage but it
also energizes the band back stage. Bill is an accomplished
sound engineer and he produces expertly crafted CD's of the
bands favorite tunes.
Bill has nimble fingers on the mandolin and is equally skilled
with the guitar. Adding his powerful voice, The Stone Ring
is a celtic force that upholds the banner of a proud legacy.
